Update for William Goforth
April 8, 2002

Today, William's doctors have re-evaluated the most recent CT brain scan, and with the approval of Josh and Noelle, have scheduled brain surgery for William tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9th at 1:30 pm.

The doctors have advised Josh and Noelle that tomorrow's scheduled surgery is necessary to remove all or part of a sizable blood clot on his right ventricle from an old brain bleed that has not yet completely dissolved on its own. The doctors have decided it would be best for continued, effective release of the build-up of cranial fluid and for protection from sustained ill effects—not to wait the 2 weeks to perform surgery as was mentioned in Friday's Prayer Alert. Therefore, we bring this urgent need for your gracious attention on behalf of Baby William...

We ask that you would please join us in prayer that:

a. the LORD's sovereign grace of healing would be extended to Baby William before, during, and after the surgery.

b. William would remain stable in all organ systems, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and central nervous systems.

c. he would recovery completely and speedily.

d. the Lord would give divine wisdom and skill to the doctors and entire staff involved with the surgery.

We remain encouraged by your continued prayer vigil on William's behalf as we trust in the Lord's faithfulness.
