Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp - Home School Family Camps

Although we have not scheduled a Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp for 2008, "Little Bear" would like to recommend a new family camp experience that will refresh, renew, and equip your family for life – In Defense of the Family Camp – at Horn Creek Conference Grounds, this coming October of 2008. Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp

Mantle Ministries, in association with Horn Creek Conference Grounds, will be hosting the 2007 Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp in the majestic Colorado Rockies. The "trailblazing" ministry team will be led by evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler, assisted by Mantle Ministries director Steve Ringer; and joined by gifted women's seminar speaker and home front aficionado Cindy Cone with daughter Stephanie and featured guests for the ladies' mother/daughter breakaway sessions; and Dove award winning music minister John G. Elliott leading us in praise and worship.

The Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp for home schooling families — fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and grandparents — promises to be exciting, educational, and inspirational. There is something of interest for everyone, ranging from frontier skills and outdoor demonstrations, “Little Bear’s” compelling American heritage portrayals, worship and praise, special breakaway sessions of refreshing for the ladies, and all the great Horn Creek camp activities: horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, fishing and much more. The week promises to be a vacation highlighted with family-building memories for years to come for every "pioneer family-at-heart."

Special ladies breakaway sessions are designed for a time of refreshing and renewal. Heart-to-heart messages, visits from surprise “guests,” faith-building skits, and illustrative science experiments are all ways Cindy Cone and Miss Stephanie impactfully reinforce Christ's hope, joy, love, and peace in a sometimes frazzled world.

Special note to single moms: If you register as a single mother with one or more sons, and would like to attend the special morning breakaway sessions for women, by request we will offer to place your son(s) in a mentoring position to be attached to a volunteering family for the duration of the father/son teaching and skill demonstration sessions.
