SPEAKING REQUIREMENTS
"Little Bear" considers it an honor to serve the LORD. Ever since the beginning of the ministry, when establishing Mantle Ministries, "Little Bear" has chosen not to require a fixed number of participants nor a fixed amount for his ministry presentations.
Please remember, however, that this is evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler's full time ministry. Therefore, love offerings or honorarium are acceptable and most graciously appreciated. "Little Bear's" ministry and family are also supported through the sales of Mantle Ministries' publications of Christ-honoring books, audio messages, and videos, which are made available at each meeting, as excellent resources for individuals and for the entire family. It is ideal when the hosting coordinator can arrange for the equivalent of three to four 8-foot tables to be set up for use as the Mantle Ministries resource tables. (State convention and state conference arrangements may vary.)
HOUSING
Christ sent His apostles out two by two for a good reason. "Little Bear" has had the conviction to travel, whenever possible, with one family member or an associate, as a covering to the ministry and as a ministry to his family. Therefore, accommodations for two (unless otherwise specified) would be most appreciated. The hosting family, church, or organization has the option of arranging housing either with a host family,* a hotel, or a facility close to the meetings. Transportation to and from the accommodations should be prearranged by the hosting group.
*Due to allergies, the one requirement "Little Bear" specifies is that in the case of home accommodations, no indoor cats, please.
MEALS
Meals can be handled in a variety of options by the hosting family, church, or organization. Since "Little Bear" has no special dietary requirements, one of his favorite sayings is, "I'll eat anything that walks, flies, or crawls as long as it's cooked and there is a tortilla next to it."
BOOKING
Whenever possible, bookings should be made at least one year in advance.
TRAVELING EXPENSES/FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS
A requirement for inviting "Little Bear" is that the hosting church or organization will cover "Little Bear's" traveling expenses. When flight transportation applies, "Little Bear" requires the hosting organization to pay for his airfare only.** If the Lord provides a transportation allowance within your church or organization that provides for the purchase of an additional ticket for the traveling family member/associate, we are most grateful. However, if this is not possible, "Little Bear" will trust the Lord to provide for the additional airfare through Mantle Ministries.
Flight reservations will be made directly by the Mantle Ministries offices. Once reservations are made, the flight schedule will be sent to you approximately one month before arrival. Upon receiving flight information, the hosting organization will be required to send the flight money to the Mantle Ministries offices: 228 Still Ridge, Bulverde, TX 78163. **SPECIAL NOTE ON NEW AIRLINE RESTRICTIONS
The airlines have imposed new restrictive guidelines for luggage--allowing only 50 lbs. instead of the 70 lbs. which had been previously allowed. Airlines are now charging $25.00 or more (one way) for any piece over 50 lbs. Regrettably, these new restrictions have caused Mantle Ministries to revise the flight requirements, because of the extensive weight of costuming, props, and supplies involved in "Little Bear's" ministry. We recognize that each hosting organization may want to be given options that would best serve their meetings when inviting "Little Bear." Please inform "Little Bear" as to which option would best serve you upon confirmation of meetings.
Option 1. Hosting organization will allow an additional transportation allowance of $100.00 for flight expenses to cover new overweight penalties charged to Mantle Ministries for "Little Bear's" ministry costumes, props, etc.
Option 2. Hosting organization will pay airfare only, understanding the need for "Little Bear" to drastically downsize the costuming and prop presentation of the ministry.
