Sons, Guns, and War
Providence on the Front Lines
(Introduction to Historical Series - AMERICA AT WAR)
Now that we face a global enemy that seeks to threaten our national security, what is the biblical basis for training our sons for war? As Christians, aren't we to teach our children to love their enemies and to turn the other cheek? Speaking of the King of kings, and Lord of lords, King David wrote, "He trains my hands for war..." (Psalm 18:34). Isn't the LORD the same yesterday, today, and forever? For such a time as this, evangelist/historian Richard "Little Bear" Wheeler speaks out on the controversy concerning Christians' involvement in the defense of our nation, and offers parents scriptural balance for seeking God's purposes involving our sons and military service to our country.
