Who's in Charge Here, Anyway?
Reclaiming the Ground of God-ordained Parental Authority
Do you ever feel that your children defy your authority? Do you ever give in to your teen's persuasive arguments just to keep the peace? Just what is God-ordained authority, and what role do parents play in the shaping of their children's behavior and decision making? Do parents even have such rights over their children's milestone decisions such as choice of college or alternative vocational training, choice of marriage partner, or even friendships?
The "politically correct" answer is no. But God's answer is positively correct. If ever there was a time for a message such as this, it would be now, with the erosion of parental authority and the popular concept of questioning and rejecting proper authority by our society at large.
